Kimberly
Holmes-Iverson
is a storyteller.
Professionally, Kimberly has a wealth of award-winning, journalism experience. She’s currently a morning anchor at WBOC-TV on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia. Prior to that position, she reported and anchored at stations in Orlando and Cincinnati. Her career began behind the scenes as an associate producer in Miami and as an intern at Bloomberg TV’s Washington, D.C. bureau.
Kimberly graduated from
Duke University and Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
Throughout the years, Kimberly has been a mentor, volunteered with Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and even been the leader of a Girl Scout Troop. Her love of mentoring led to a dream consultant role with TalentBlvd where she is able to help guide and encourage young broadcast journalists. She's also a dynamic member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
She's had the honor of working with a talented group of women for their groundbreaking book, Widowed, But Not Wounded: The Hustle & Flow of 13 Resilient Black Widowed Women. She also published the Graceful Guide to Helping a Grieving Friend. The work stems from her personal loss of her beloved first husband, Rasheed Wiggins, in 2016.
The two met at Duke University. Rasheed was killed in a horrific hit and run. She’s doing everything in her power to ensure other families don’t feel the sting of an open homicide investigation linked to hit and runs.
Kimberly launched a faith-based, retail and grief outreach organization called Still His®. She strives to help widows navigate the waters of significant loss and grief.
She remarried in 2020 to an incredible man. Darian Iverson, Kimberly, and their fur baby currently live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
Kimberly teaches journalism courses at Salisbury University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
